So I have started reading Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. As I finish the first chapter I am left pondering 'what do I want? What does my heart call out to me?' THe authours say that deep in every woman is the desire for romance, to play an irreplaceable role in a shared adventure, to unveil her beauty (that really is in there somewhere).
I believe that I agree with these statements. I have become distracted by the most beautiful children in world so I will have to finish these thoughts later.

I would say that desire has defined my life - that, as a writer, I'm always searching for the romance in every situation, the dramatic interaction between people. So many folk out there try to live without 'drama' in their lives, and yet are addicted to television shows that exist because of our desire for drama.
And what's drama without romance? What's adventure without romance? If you take the romance out of life - and the dramatic, defining moments romance creates - life becomes a very empty and forbidding place. At least, I think so.
Great book, especially when it comes to unveiling deep needs within women. I think it misses the importance of being valued on every level, I longer discussion of the biblical nature of beauty would have made me happy, but i recommend the book to everybody as well.
You are beautiful...I see it every time you talk about God, or your husband, or people that you love :)
I think I may re-read the book as well. It really is a good book.
